Connect to a Memphis Classroom

Memphis Teaching Fellows selected into the program will join passionate educators who have already made the commitment to raise student achievement in Memphis City Schools.

MTF recognizes that candidates come from diverse backgrounds and experiences and may not have spent significant time in an urban school environment. Candidates may also have questions specific to a particular subject assignment. For these reasons, we offer the opportunity to connect with a current Memphis City Schools teacher. Through this opportunity, MTF applicants can have questions answered via email or phone, set up a time to talk, or even make a school visit.

Candidates interested in connecting with a Memphis City Schools educator in a specific subject should send an email to info@memphisteachingfellows.org and type “Connect with MCS teacher ” in the email subject line. In the body of the email, please include the following information:

Please keep in mind that our teachers are also busy with classrooms and school responsibilities and may not always have the option to meet in person or extend an invitation to visit their classroom. While MCS teachers are happy to share their perspective on teaching, we appreciate candidates’ respect for the time of the teachers they contact.
