Who We Want
Memphis Teaching Fellows is looking for a diverse group of individuals who will bring a variety of talents and skills to the classroom. We want goal-oriented professionals who have demonstrated success in their past endeavors and who will be accountable for results. We want individuals who are leaders in their communities and who possess the commitment, flexibility, and drive necessary to be successful in the classroom. We want individuals who have a sense of urgency in ensuring our students achieve rigorous academic goals.
We want applicants who share Memphis City Schools’ belief that the overall achievement level of our students must be improved, and the achievement gaps must be eliminated. We want candidates who believe that MCS can become an internationally competitive urban school system that produces well-rounded, high achieving students.

If you are currently certified or enrolled in a certification program, you are not eligible to apply to Memphis Teaching Fellows. Certified teachers are strongly encouraged to contact the Memphis City Schools Office of Recruitment and apply through the application process for already licensed teachers.
